Hello bee friends,
As you know, if you are following the cultural trends, Black Friday sales descend after Thanksgiving and Giving Tuesday shows up the week afterwards. What a wonderful way to balance our lives between Spending and Sharing!
I hope you’ll take a moment to give to Think Like a Bee. Founded in 2015, we are a Mothership nonprofit of pollinator advocacy and education. Our star project, Pollinators in the Neighborhood, has been a beehive of activity over the past few years, under the capable direction of Elizabeth Reed and all the members of our hive! We have given aways thousands upon thousands of native pollinator plants to Albuquerque neighborhoods, schools, alleyway beautification and personal backyards. Our goal has been to beautify, increase pollinator corridors, create community spirit, and teach families and children about pollinators. The volunteers have been amazing. Circuses, children’s activities, Master Gardeners, neighborhood pollinator education and city and county-wide support for our work. Thank you!
Below are a few pictures to help you understand the scope of what we are doing. Every year it is a celebration of pollinators and a joyful homecoming and learning process for hundreds upon hundreds of households in Albuquerque! I hope you will be a part of our hive and give generously for 2025!
